Cons: I believed this location was at MSY, but it was not. I had to take a 25 minute Uber ride to the actual location. I will need to be more careful on selecting next time. I was sure that I selected MSY. :(

Pros: Affordable, easy pick up and drop off.
Cons: The car was dirty when we picked it up and only had a half tank of gas! There was gum stuck to the doors and trash tucked between the seats- yuck.
Pros: Friendly, efficient staff at both ends.
Cons: Dropping off at the airport would have meant a $75 charge, but dropping it at their location 3 miles away was free.

WHY DID YOU BOOK MY PICKUP DOWNTOWN?!! My rental should have been at THE AIRPORT. NEVER AGAIN.
Hertz did not have a car for me although I had made a reservation 4wks before I showed up. I had to cancel and was forced to spend 3x on an uber and subsequent rental at a location 70miles away thru a different company. HUGE disappointment as well as ruined the plans that my wife and i had that day. Terrible
Worst rental experience I've had. I was unable to change my rental location after my travel plans changed and then had to cancel the rental for a $75 fee. I plan to never rent a car through kayak again.
Hated it: WORST RENTAL COMPANY EVER. Booked a pickup truck in New Orleans as wanted to move some household stuff. 4 hours prior to pick up I was told a pick up was not available and I should settle for a car. I insisted a pick up was booked for a reason and they should figure out how to resolve it. All calls get routed to the Philippines, where other than sorry they have no authority to resolve any issues. I feel bad for them as Hertz corp uses them to interface with us for their corp screw-ups. They proposed I pick up a cargo van 25 miles away at 3 times the booking price. That was the best offer. I told them since they screwed up they should honor my price. "Sorry we can't do that" was the response. Needless to say, it was a waste of time and I was highly inconvenienced reminding me of a Seinfeld episode, where he laments to a car rental associate, that they are good at reservations but can't hold reservations. NEVER AGAIN FROM THEM>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Cons: The A/C can be fixed for your employees in the pick up office downtown. We were comfortable, but it was early AM.

Pros: I live in Austin and we experienced a winter storm which caused United to cancel my flight to New Orleans. I called and cancelled my car rental due to the unprecented winter storm. Hertz only refunded me $43. They kept $50 of my money even though this was not my fault at all. I won't use kayak or hertz again.
Cons: I prepaid for a car . When I went to pick the car up , hertz said they didn't have cars available.
Cons: The car smelled like smoke and was missing the gas cap. I also received no instructions on returning the car on a Sunday when Hertz is closed.
Pros: We showed up to Hertz to pick up our car and waited about 15 minutes in line to be helped when the manager came out and said he couldn't help us and they were closed and no longer renting out cars due to the bad weather. He "apologized" that the two workers at the desk did not notify us but said the most he could do was have us come back tomorrow at 12. We missed our tour and lost our money and even worse they made us wait outside to figure out a way to get back in town since we were stranded! When asked why we weren't notified so we didn't waste our time he said we tried to send emails but maybe we missed you. The person next to us waiting was in the same boat and said he never received a text, email or call either so clearly that was a lie. Worst service I've ever experienced would not recommend this Hertz.

Cons: Picked up the rental in New Orleans with low leaking air in the rear tires .. had to fill them on several occasions.. woke up the next morning to only 6 psi .. had to take the vehicle and exchange it 30 miles away .. just blew a big chunk of my day spent on vacation

Pros: Houston staff was helpful and understanding.
Cons: Pickup in New Orleans could have been better: the representative did not give us a chance to inspect the car nor did he notate the amount of gas in the tank. Luckily we took a photo showing the tank was not full when we received the car, because in Houston at drop off they were expecting the car to be full until we explained and had the picture as proof. We also discovered while driving that one of the headlights was out, which the New Orleans representative did not inform us/note down, but the Houston representative noticed immediately before we even told him.

Pros: Yes. The staff was very helpful. The car was great and they saved me at last minute when a scam rental service did me wrong and would not rent to me. Thank you Budget.
Cons: I guess the drop off was not clearly marked as far as what the procedure is, and an employee did not meet me when dropping off the car. I just had to go inside and all was taken care of.
Cons: They allowed me to place a pickup time when the place was closed.
Pros: staff at this location is always helpful and dropoff is easy
Cons: Car absolutely reeked of cigarettes and/or cannabis. There was essentially no windshield wiper fluid at all.

Cons: Thought it was a little expensive but in hindsight I think it was the fact that Louisiana state tax is 25% so that amped up the price. Good car overall. It may need an oil change and the transmission feels weird in lower RPMs

They didn't have a car available for me when I had made a reservation a week in advance. I had to wait in the lobby until a car showed up. When a car finally did show up, I realized it had a leaking tire that ended up making me late to where I was going and I had to change the tire wearing a suit after attending a wedding. Why was this something that was missed? How was this not checked before releasing the car to me?
Pros: We received a call on the way to DTW airport Detriot by a man saying there was a mix up with our reservation as they were closing at Noon. Note I made this on March 20 and he is calling me on April 3. We cannot make it before closing as we land at 4:00 so he modified our reservation ON HIS OWN ACCORD to MSY and a new price of $1110 vs the $483.88 Cannot get any help at counter because it was made thru Kayak / Priceline and can't get a hold of anyone. Finally I call Avis and she gets me an unpublished deal of $797.79. I received a reminder email on April 2 too. Someone did a bait and switch on me and owes me $313.91. Pros: Literally nothing.
Cons: Everything. The guy was an hour and a half late then just said, "Oh well you shouldn't have been able to book it earlier." No apology, no discount... It ruined our whole day because we were two hours late after he had to drive us to another location because the one I reserved the car at apparently only had a 12-passenger van he kept trying to get us to take. There were three of us! We didn't want the damn van.
Pros: Car was not ready. Expected wait was 45 minutes.
Cons: Car should have been ready. Avis should have texted or called to let us know they were short of cars.
Pros: Picking up and dropping off were easy.
Cons: They charged me $40 more than on the original contract. There is no reason given on the receipt.

Cons: They did not have a booster seat for my 6 year old daughter. We called 3 in the area and none if them had one, so we ended up at Wal-Mart and bought a seat ourselves.
Got bad car first
Pros: I got a bad car that was shaking at the speed more than 55 mph. Was able to change it for absolutely new car in another city's airport without any problem and enjoyed the rest of my trip driving new Ford Edge.
Cons: I booked SUV but at the pick up office they told me that they had only mid size cars. I insisted on SUV. They found it, but it was bad. They should have checked it.

Was unable to pick up car due to late flight arrival althoughI was told in advance that it would not be a problem. I had to make other transportation plans, including a $70 Uber ride. Was still charged for car and I never had the chance to pick it up.

Pros: Teka was very friendly and helpful. This car rental company is off-site from the rental center to provide lower rates, so the facilities are sparse. The car was great and clean and it was an excellent experience.
Cons: We had difficulty reaching the main number but were finally picked-up at the bus stop at the car rental center. The vehicle was great except for the dirty inside of the windshield.

Cons: The drop-off was on a Sunday, and handled by someone who was not an actual employee of the company. It was NOT a good experience!
Cons: Just a heads up. This rental company IS NOT LOCATED AT THE CAR RENTA CENTER. You have to take one shuttle from the airport to the car the car rental center and the call them for them to come pick you up there to take you to their place. I specifically chose companies at the terminal to avoid this, but still got this as a choice only to be surprised once I got to the rental center that it was not there

When I made my reservation I was guaranteed a Mini Cooper or Fiat 500, there was probably some fine print somewhere that said I was booking an economy rental, but it wasn't obvious. They went above and beyond to pick me up from the airport, they called earlier in the day to reconfirm I would still be there and gave crystal clear instructions on how to get to the car rental station where they were waiting for me at 10 pm. To my surprise, there wasn't a single Mini or Fiat on their lot and I was given a Nissan Versa. I feel like the ad was a bit deceptive however their customer service is top notch.
They were extremely helpful and overall it was a great experience. It is a little less convenient than using one of the larger rental car companies because you first have to take a shuttle from the airport and then the company will pick you up where the shuttle drops you and ferry you across the street to the Economy Rent-a-Car facility. It was a little bit of a hassle but well worth it for the price and the customer service was great - I missed the return hotel shuttle to the airport and they didn't make it my problem, they called the driver and had him drop me so I could take the rental car shuttle to the airport. It would have been nice to have received a bit more detail prior to arriving. They do send a text with instructions for how to get the shuttle and when to contact them to have the driver meet you at the shuttle drop off. However, I wasn't aware they would need my insurance cards for verification (understandable but I've gotten used to Hertz and Enterprise where you don't need those cards) so it was a little frantic at the counter as I tried to find the validation info they needed for my insurance. It would have been nice for that to be clearly stated in an email prior to getting the facility but that was the only thing I'd change.
You should know this site is not at the rental car site near the airport where the other rental car companies are located. There is a shuttle that picks you up from the airport and takes you to that common rental car area. You then have to take a second (NOLA Rental Car) shuttle to their location. Pick up after that was easy, car was clean. HOWEVER, when it came to drop off (ours was at 4am to catch our 5:30 flight)), there was no shuttle back to the airport shuttle, like they told us. The place was locked up, and we waited in the dark at 4am for someone to show up. Ended up having to take an Uber back to the airport, losing valuable time. Will not rent from them again.
Cons: The car was not cleaned out, some one's cell phone was in the glove box, roaches roaming under the sea seats and floor mats -horrible- we had to buy Raid spray to finish our trip and we had small kids with us

Cons: The car was in bad shape . It sounded like the wheel bearings were completely shot and front and rear fenders weren't attached and were flapping in the wind on the freeway. It did last for the rental period but I wasn't sure it would.

Cons: We were not made aware at time of rental that the car rental company was not located where the airport transportation dropped us off. The gentleman who picked us up was prompt and all went smoothly after our arrival at the car rental which was very close to the drop off point.
Pros: The service was ok. They were not located in the car rental area so a car had to go pick us up there and take us to the hotel where they were.
Cons: The car was in a very poor condition. The chargers and usb didn't work. It made noises.

We were so unsure of what we would get...read other online reviews and read horrible things. But honestly, we don't know why! This place was wonderful (yes, a bit sketchy looking from the outside, so don't judge a book by its cover here!), the staff was amazing and friendly, and we got a new Kia that was great! Super! And the price?! Unbeatable! I couldn't be happier!

Pros: Very friendly staff. One staff member offered to even drive us to the airport for 10% less than an Uber so we didn't have to wait for one or move our luggage!
Cons: The woman we signed out papers with could have talked a bit slower. She spoke so quickly we had to ask multiple times for her to repeat herself. But she was very friendly and helpful!

Cons: Great price compared to others. Hertz cancelled my reservation as I was getting on the plane. Fine Found this last minute. No complaints.
Cons: They push the insurance scam real hard. They try to tell you you got to have proof of personal insurance with you. I walked out the door.
Pros: The staff was somewhat friendly but they are stuck in a fowl location and many of there customers are turned away and unhappy.
Cons: They could have clearly stated in big letters that they don't rent to any one who doesn't have proof of full collision auto insurance.
